While there are multiple theories on working memory, one of the most prominent is that proposed by Dr. Alan Baddeley, Ph.D. 

In an effort to explain the structure and function of working memory, Dr. Baddeley developed the concepts of the visuospatial sketchpad, the central executive, and the episodic buffer. 

Dr. Baddeley and his colleagues have conducted numerous research studies examining memory and have even applied the concepts to investigate cognitive performance during simulated deep-sea diving. In 1999, Dr. Baddeley was awarded the Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for his distinguished contributions to the field of memory research.Using the module readings, Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research working memory and respond to the following:Identify and briefly describe one of the following concepts: Visuospatial sketchpadCentral executiveEpisodic bufferApply your selected concept to a situation with a current or potential future client.Write your initial response in 200–300 words.
